What are we looking for?

·        We are seeking candidates for Associate Auctioneer positions onboard luxury cruise ships traveling the world learning all aspects of fine art. 

·        Associate Auctioneers report to the Principal Auctioneer on board their respective cruise ship and will typically have a performance based opportunity to advance to the lead Auctioneer position within 6-12 months.

·        Couples and teams of two are welcome.

·        There is no need to relocate. 

If you possess the following qualities:

*Sales ability and experience is a plus

*Excellent communication skills

*High standards of customer service

*Ability and/or experience in public speaking in front of large groups

*Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with or without supervision

*Art knowledge and/or eagerness to learn

*Computer capabilities

Some of the Basics
1. You must be willing to work and live on a cruise ship for 4-6 months at a time.  Our partner cruise lines and ships operate everywhere in the world.  

2. You may be required to share a cabin during your contract(s) as a Sales Associate with another member of the Art Team. Your cabin is typically very small with bunk beds.  

3. This opportunity is 100% commission based.

4. You will be an Independent Contractor (IC) for Plymouth Auctioneering.  As an IC you are responsible for your own medical insurance and taxes.

5. This is an entry level sales opportunity.  You would start as a Sales Associate on the floor and then work your way to Auctioneer after your first or second contract.  

6. You will be required to complete a cruise line required medical , allow us to conduct a criminal background check, and  hold a valid passport.
